In the Human Medicine program, a student studies about 272 credit hours across 12 semesters over six years. Each semester lasts 14 to 20 weeks, with 15 to 30 credit hours per semester. The program aims to qualify doctors capable of delivering the highest quality health care by putting the latest medical advances into practice, and of contributing to scientific progress in medicine through continuous studies and applied research.

Curriculum Domains

The medical curriculum covers three overlapping areas of learning:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the theoretical basis of clinical practice, including biomedical sciences, diagnosis, and therapeutic rationale and perspectives.
  • Professional skills: clinical assessment, logical reasoning, communication, and practical clinical skills.
  • Professional qualities and behavior: attitudes, ethics, teamwork, accountability, responsibility, and lifelong learning.
